


This project, undertaken in 2022, was a passion-driven entry for a brand redesign competition centered on a tattoo recovery kit. The core objective was to conceptualize and develop a refreshed brand identity for “Ink Aid,” a fictitious tattoo aftercare line, that would more effectively capture its essence and resonate with its target audience. The challenge involved not only creating a compelling visual identity but also demonstrating its versatility across various brand touchpoints, ultimately aiming to present a cohesive and memorable brand experience.
The design choices for Ink Aid were rooted in a desire to convey a sense of trust, care, and modernity. The logo, prominently featured on a shop sign mockup, utilizes a clean, sans-serif typeface for “ink aid,” exuding a contemporary and approachable feel. The subtle water droplet icon integrated above the “i” in “ink” and “aid” hints at hydration and the soothing nature of the products, a crucial aspect of tattoo recovery. The tagline “TATTOO CARE” is presented in a clear, straightforward manner, reinforcing the brand’s purpose.
To showcase the comprehensive nature of the redesigned brand, a variety of mockups were developed. These included product packaging designs for items like a daily moisturizer, protective cream, exfoliating body wash, and a tattoo salve, each maintaining the consistent visual language of the brand with clear typography and distinct product-specific icons. The brand’s adaptability was further illustrated through a t-shirt mockup, demonstrating its potential for merchandise and community building.
